Mine Manager - Adventus Holdings Limited

A Singapore based company with several mining interests, is seeking to employ an experienced and self-motivated Mine Manager to manage the entire portfolio of its mining sector.
 


Roles & Responsibilities


Manage entire operations with keyfocus on profitability and optimal utilization of resources.
The selection of production methods,based on factors such as safety, cost and deposit characteristics.
Preparebudgets, bids, contracts and direct the negotiation of contracts.
Directand co-ordinate the work of technicians, technologists, survey personnel, engineers,scientists and other mine personnel in accordance with the strategic objectives.
Performadministrative functions such as reviewing and writing of reports,approving expenditures, enforcing rules and making decisions about thepurchase of materials and services.
Co-ordinateand direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directingthe integration of technical activities.
Identifybest practices and assist in planning for and implementation across all internationaloperations
Awareand be informed of best practices within the mining industry throughindustry contacts and industry groups. More specifically to identify, planand implement the same across all international mining operations.
Identifyand manage appropriate external resources providing technical assistanceand advice to operational personnel in areas of specialist needs.
Provideassistance for mine planning aspects on major technical projects (e.g.expansion feasibility studies) on behalf of the operations managementensuring that adequate communication and involvement is maintained withoperations personnel.
Assisting on needs basis with duediligence reviews of business development opportunities.

Ideal Candidate


A tertiary qualification from a registered institution, in thefield of Mining Engineering or similar.
Minimum of 10 years mining experience diversified in mine planningroles inclusive of open pit and/or underground operation. (Miningexperience in coal preferred).
Registration with professional body, e.g ECSA, AusIMM.
Experience expat; Possess international exposure and proficient atproject implementation.
Preparation of budgetary and commercial offers/tenders.
Technical proposals for national and international mines
Ability to understand technical specification andcommunicate/convincing is effectively a must.
Capable of dealing at a technical level with different cultures inEnglish
Have broad exposure to various mining methods around the world.
Passion and no objections to travelling frequently.
Computer literate.

Responsibilities and Duties include following:

Maintaining optimum level ofstock and avoid shortages
Monthly demand and returnforecasting of equipments using SAP SCM system for Asiapac region
Monthly supply planing(repair planning)
Attending Monthly forecastconcensus meeting as a representative from Asia
Creating various reports tosupport accurate planning and sharing the information with team membersand other departments within BBG
Monitoring backorder listdaily
Planning stock distributionwithin APAC
Monitoring stock transferrequisitions and convert them to stock transfer orders according toshipping schedule
Validating stockreplenishment qty from NY to APAC warehouses
Attending weekly globalconference call
General warehouseadministrative task

Requirements:

Fluency in English is a must
2+ experience in forecastingor inventory planning
2+ experience with using SAPsystem (SCM related modules)
Strong communication andproblem solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office

An exciting opportunity currently exists in our Delhi or Mumbai office to become part of our growing team of world class risk consultants undertaking projects in India, Asia Pacific and worldwide.
ERM is seeking candidates to help grow the business in the field of Process Safety, Risk and Reliability Assessment and with the potential to become one of our top consultants. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in hazard identification and quantitative risk assessment studies (including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA, and RAM studies) for process plants in the field of oil and gas (including offshore), refinery, chemicals and petrochemicals. The position also requires an energetic candidate who is motivated to travel on a regular basis.
REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in chemical engineering or a post-graduate qualification in mathematics, physics or fluid mechanics. Candidates with Mechanical engineering or Electrical Engineering background may also be considered
3-5 years relevant experience in risk assessment or design safety engineering
Demonstrate experience in project management and client liaison
Excellent communication skills and academic qualifications
Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written
Motivated to travel on a region-wide and worldwide basis regularly to meet client needs; (Travel may be extensive on some projects)
Candidates must be motivated, independent individuals with initiative, who can work autonomously and are committed to delivering the highest quality services to our clients
