Our client is looking for an energetic and visionaryexecutive to lead thier India business. Our client has identified Indiaas one of our highest global priorities for growth. As the GM forIndia you will be an integral part of their Asia leadership team,reporting to the Vice President and Managing Director of Asia and willhave responsibility for delivering P&L performance of their Indiabusiness. Specifically leading our brand marketing, driving the productagenda, ensuring they have access to the right inventory by workingwith the supply organization and providing executive leadership to theAsia business.Specific duties will include:
• Ownership: Manage the P&L of India, taking ownership of its budget, operational goals and relevant strategic initiatives
• Strategy:Define and implement a India strategy whose objective will be tocoordinate the optimal marketing mix to drive traffic to the site, andthen maximize the monetisation of the traffic sent to the site (e.g.transaction conversion and media), optimising the use of the variousretail drivers: pricing, merchandizing, product placements, CRM etc.
• Execution:Drive the delivery of strategic initiatives, working with marketing,retail, in-house development teams and outsourced partners asappropriate
• Team: Ensure that the right people are in theright jobs, with the correct objectives and skills & competenciesto deliver them. Team motivation is especially important as we seek torapidly grow the business, and this will be a key factor in the CountryDirector's objectives
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
• 6-8 years experience required in executive or leadership roles inthe ecommerce industry, particularly in highly innovative fastmoving environments. Some experience gained from management consulting firms are a big plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills (externally and internally at all levels)
• Demonstrated experience getting things done and finding opportunities where others may not see them
• Proven track record of defining and executing key strategicinitiatives with minimal supervision. This will be a highly autonomousrole in an innovative and fast-growing region
• Expert level knowledge and demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis, research and presentation creation
• Fluent in Hindi and English
