Job Description:
Develops and leads projects. Responsible for driving charter development, objectives, and plans. Routinely produces effective decisions and practical solutions. Proactively reviews current project resource needs against future needs and provides performance feedback to team members' direct managers. Responsible for overseeing/managing the team members. Manages complex interdependencies across projects, identifying critical, high pay-off strategies, and prioritizing team efforts accordingly. Requires general knowledge of two or more technology disciplines and expert level knowledge of project management methodology and tools.
Responsibilities:

Manages multiple projects of significant complexity
Develops project budget, tracks actuals against forecast and remains within departmental guidelines for variance
Defines problems / needs and solutions involving substantial latitude in course of action. Responsible for the resolutions of issues
Creates and presents project status and financials to senior management
Organizes project teams and resources by identifying areas of needed expertise and required skills
Directs the activities of project teams to ensure quality and timeliness of project completion
Manages and tracks progress against program plans. Produces financial reports, status reports, and maintains issues logs
Identifies project risks, determines impacts and probability assessments. Implements appropriate mitigation strategies. Escalates risks and exposures to management
Resolves project conflicts with affected management, technology peers and business partners
Ensures projects are completed according to time and budget, and that objectives conform to line of business’ overall standards and operations objectives and user requirements
Influences work of others and facilitates group progress
Provides coaching to team members in support of their professional development
Qualifications:

College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
PMI certification or equivalent certification preferred
Typically 5 - 10 or more years of IT Project / Program Management experience, or relevant business or team leadership
Project/strategic planning and business background with in depth understanding of assigned areas of responsibility
Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions and industries to facilitate working with the management team and to assist in the understanding of people focused issues in the workplace.
Requires advanced understanding and experience with Project Management delivery methods and tools
