Our client is a large world renowned online media company that brings world trends, engaging content and experiences to consumers through top-rated websites across the globe.They are currently seeking an individual to fulfill the role of Commercial Director, who has foresight and ability to think BIG, think out of the box, a passion for sales and a desire to drive change across a large internet platform company as well as the advertising industry.The role will also serve as the Southeast Asia ambassador for the Company, becoming the “face” of the company to the advertising industry, trade press and key business relationships. He/She will also be a Director for the Southeast Asia company, which involves acting as a signatory and undertaking other corporate tasks and responsibilities of a Director. This role reports to the General Director, and will be based in Vietnam.We are looking for an executive who is not obsessed with running large complex teams and P&Ls. This pe
rson should be nimble, highly adaptable to change and who aspire to add value through influence and ability, and not through power nor ownership via a large organizational structure/ hierarchy.Key Responsibilities:Manage economics of new media marketplace across the company, maximizing the financial and brand benefits to the company and external clients and partners.Primary responsibility for all business lines (Search, Display, Mobile), having the ability to bring a more strategic focus, generate tangible synergies between their activities and ensure that overall trading is further improved against market opportunity.Build close relationships with all local markets in SEA.Forge close partnerships with other commercial departments to capture synergies.Work closely with the PR advisors and trade press partners to raise profile and protect brand image. Attend and talk at key conferences.Oversee all commercial activities of designated teams, positioning them and the market offe
ring in the most appropriate manner to take advantage of new trends etc.Ensure centrally led deals align with local strategies to the optimal extent.Fully oversee budget and long-range plan development.Partner effectively with the rest of the organization to ensure projects are delivered and key stakeholder and client needs are met.Ensure teams are engaged with all partners to the extent necessary to ensure success and possess the ability to manage a diverse portfolio of solutions and bring synergies.Act as a partner to the executive team, to think and act as an international collegiate team member. He/She will advice and positively encourage an integrated approach to driving the growth of this organization.Requirements:Incumbent should possess a Degree or higher qualifications with strong digital marketing experience. He/she should have run sizable commercial teams, be a known quantity in the SE Asia advertising arena and be a strategic thinker, able to grasp complex advert
ising strategies and simplify them for advertisers and agencies.Proven record of developing and growing talent within a sales-driven setup/ organizationCommercial skills and stature to represent the company with clients at senior level (within Vietnam local market) and oversee negotiation of complex multi-market long-term deals across multiple lines of businessStrategic thinker with accomplished analytical skills and first class financial forecasting skills as well as P&L responsibilities.Deep understanding of a customer focused business â€" the candidate will have experience in creating a dynamic brand and will understand how to leverage this product across all relevant platforms.A track record of execution i.e. created and led a successful P&L organization and managed the types of organization and market issues in its growth.A corporate entrepreneur - thorough at driving a long-term growth strategy but also opportunistic in seizing short-term revenue.We invite all
