Our client is one of the premier insurance companies in the MENA region. With a rich history of success they have an enviable record of stability and growth. As they continue to strengthen their Corporate Governance structure, they are currently looking to recruit a strong Risk Manager to join their team. Answering directly through to the Group President, the role will have a clear mandate to oversee the risk framework for the Group and help drive the governance strategy.

Since this role has been newly created, its various responsibilities will very much be moulded around the successful candidate. However, it would be expected that the position will involve the following:

Identify, evaluate and monitor key risks.
Impact the group’s ability to achieve its objectives and strategies and provide appropriate mitigation options and risk intelligence.
Take overall responsibility to pro-actively champion the creation and maintenance of a risk-smart environment across the group.
Build into the existing governance and organizational structure; planning and operational
processes.
Establish and manage a sound and effective integrated ERM framework aligned to the organizations objectives, strategies, processes, technology, knowledge and culture.
Maintain a corporate risk profile in identifying and assessing an organization wide risk matrix.

Applicants will need to be currently working with Risk Management in an insurance company. Although having experience of the Middle East would be seen as a positive, our client has placed more of the emphasis on technical risk skills and insurance market knowledge. Applicants from outside the MENA region will therefore be considered. Please note that candidates will also need to be a graduate have a solid educational background.

This position will enable an ambitious insurance Risk Manager to gain exposure to a wide spectrum of both technical and product specialisms. With a genuine route through to CRO level, candidates will be able to grow and develop with the business and further their careers dramatically.
