India Sales Manager - Ellsworth Adhesives Asia Limited

Ellsworth Adhesives is a global distributor and manufacturer of industrial and consumer adhesives that is growing aggressively in Asia and other global markets.  Mainly serving electronics and other industrial manufacturers through technical sales and distribution services, the company has over 500 employees globally.


Summary: plans, directs, and coordinates the India-based sales of Ellsworth products and services by performing the following duties (other duties may be assigned).
Achieve Sales targets:

Establishes India strategic marketing & sales goals to develop and achieve the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) corporate objectives.
Develops and localizes comprehensive sales & marketing plans and programs for the India AOP, consistent with market demands and long-term profitability.
Performs key account management for major transplant business and acts as sales at the start-up phase.
Recruits, coaches and develops a robust sales engineering team to develop and direct business with industrial and electronics factory end-users for the specialty chemical distribution and overseas vendors we represent.
Develops and manages India sales and marketing budget.
Conducts marketing surveys in India on current and new product concepts, and provides feedback for future product development related to Indian markets.
Develops and Manages distributor network for 2 product lines.
Vendor Management:

Establishes and builds productive relationships with strategic partners and vendors.
Ensures we achieve the business goals agreed with our Vendors for the Indian market
Other Duties:

Work with and support other Asian departments to Develop business infrastructure (legal identity, logistics, finance system, offices, etc.) for Ellsworth in India initially.
Assists Headquarters to identify potential Alliances & Acquisitions, and to facilitate negotiations.
Acts as a liaison to Ellsworth Corporation and Asia Headquarters to ensure that Ellsworth's management system, practices, business ethics, and principles are properly executed in India.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in India Sales and Marketing. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties above satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- 10 years work experience in adhesives, or other industrial and electronics markets, to develop direct end-user accounts and manage a sales team.
- Team player
- Significant sales experience and aptitude
- A leader: can build, design a strategy for and motivate a team
- Entrepreneurial and independent: a self-starter
- Business-savvy, hands-on, doesn't mind getting hands dirty.
- Willing to do what it takes to be successful.
Education and/or Experience
College or university program certificate; Five years managerial experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
