Ourclient is a highly dynamic commercial organisation with a global presence. They currently have an opportunity for an IT Support person to join their team in Mumbai.
The role will involve reporting to the Global Support Manager for the business. The successful candidate will provide remote 1st/2nd line IT support for users in the Aviat Lagos office, Bangalore office, and will assist with issues in the other Aviat offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. Over time the Bangalore support person will transition into a supervisory role with the contracted support employees in Mumbai and Gurgaon reporting into Bangalore. The successful candidate will be backed up by the other members of the Global Support team and will be assisted with 1st line issue by the Helpdesk provider. You must be comfortable supporting desktop, server and network issues

Technical skills required:
Experience supporting Microsoft client platforms such as XP, Vista and Windows 7 and Server 2003/2008
Understanding of networking technologies, switches, routers etc and TCP/IP configuration
Familiarity with Active Directory account administration best practises
Experience with VMware platforms
Familiarity with hardware maintenance and support including client, server and network printers
Microsoft accreditation would be advantageous
